The hotel’s own casino room
F-Lie Casino is a room inside F-Lie Hotel. You reach it from the lobby, past the front desk, and at no point do you step outside.
From the desk, take the garden corridor along the glass wall: thirty-eight steps, no stairs. There is always someone standing at the door, and nobody gets through it without being asked for ID.

The casino room
The casino floor is the old winter garden: one tall room under a glass dome, with the ferns still standing in their tubs along the walls. Nine tables sit on a pale floor, a bar runs along one side, and daylight comes in through the white iron ribs of the roof until late in the summer.
Winter evenings come early, and then the dome glows rather than blazes. The music is quiet, and some evenings absent. Staff are told to give the time to any guest who asks, the first time they ask, because there is a clock on the wall for the same reason: casinos too often hide theirs.
Dress is smart casual. A jacket is welcome after eight, trainers are fine, and nobody will look twice at you for either.
Age and identification
In Great Britain nobody under 18 may enter a casino, and the room applies that without exception. There is no younger guest who comes in with a parent, and no hour at which the rule is relaxed.
Your document is checked every time you arrive, even if you dined in the hotel an hour earlier. A passport, a photocard driving licence or an accredited proof-of-age card is accepted. The door wants the document itself in your hand, and a phone screen showing one is turned away.
The door stays closed to anyone under 18 at every hour, including those when the room is shut and being cleaned.
Limits and stopping
The floor staff set your limit with you. Say what you are comfortable with before you sit down; they write it down and hold you to it, and if you do not mention it they will bring it up first.
To stop, in the long run, ask at the front desk in person. It is never done in the room and never by telephone. The restriction starts that same evening and can only be lifted by walking back to the same desk.
The room extends no credit, and there is no cash machine anywhere in the casino or the hotel lobby. Cards are for the bar and the front desk, not for the tables.
The website is not the room
The room is a land-based casino inside a hotel in Llandudno, Wales. This website describes the room and the building and does nothing else: it runs no games, takes no bets, opens no accounts and moves no money.
To take a seat you have to travel to the hotel, show your document at the door and walk in. There is no other way, and nothing of that kind happens on this page. The address and telephone are just below. Responsible gambling has the support lines.
